In life we never take in as many things as we should. Everyday is filled with its own ups and downs and what we as individuals don’t understand is that there are so many blessings in are life. Depression just like frustration or displeasure, is a feeling that one experiences in a separate realm of the body. We choose which feelings we will experience and which ones we won’t. But we never put into place how our situation compares to those of the many others who live in much more difficult situations. Yes, our daily situations may seem to be difficult to us, but we must pause and think for a second. It really isn’t that bad. We tend to over exaggerate many ordeals. Age can sometimes play a factor in this but moreover maturity and experience are the key aspects. When we are young, once we experience a difficult situation we become frustrated and turn to desperation. It takes a while for individuals to realize that this previous experience was just a slight touch of a true real world experience. Individuals become oblivious of the reality that the opportunity for a good experience to arise is right in front of them. We become blind to the fact that we are the ones who hold the key to unlocking a better experience for ourselves just we fail to realize it. Instead, we worry that we may never be ‘handed’ a good experience. We fail to remember that in this life, nothing is handed to us, we must do for ourselves. We have to learn how to venture off and take leadership in our own lives. Everyday we constantly follow invisible rules and guidelines; we fail to create our own rules and guidelines that will benefit us. It is in the best interest to move past things rather than moving with things. We must lose grip to those things dearest to us in order to accomplish much more than we expect. We must view that many people in this world do not have the things we do. Some people would die to be in our situation; their situations aren’t as pretty. We must keep this knowledge engraved in our heads. It underlines the value of this life; things are much brighter than they seem. We must choose to overcome the feelings we choose to have when we have an experience by comparing that experience to an experience you have been aware of and was one that was unfortunate. We must move towards brighter things by believing there is a brighter future ahead. We hold the key; to unlock a brighter future we must first open our eyes and see, opportunities are plenty. We must take a chance, take a step and plunge into the unknown. Who knows, we may just end up happy after all. But we’ll never know, unless we try. And to settle for less by never trying, we’ll always wonder what if? But if we try and we fail, we must try again. And if we fail again, we try again. Because there is the slightest hope in this world that failure does exist, but that is not the case, good things happen to those who wait. Even if it takes a number of years, happiness will come and for how ever long happiness is present; it will be cherished because nothing but happiness is the goal of this life. Once we find it, we shall never let it go. It is more precious than materialistic ideology and for that many kill. But for happiness many need; but do not want.
Sincerely,
ACS
